I called from the parking lot a few minutes prior to my scheduled lash fill just to let them know I was sick, but that I would wear a mask, and my lash technician got on the phone and told me to please call her back to reschedule when I was feeling better. I of course understand that getting lash extensions is very up close and personal so I do not blame her at all for not being able to take that risk. I had told the owner that I may need to reschedule because of how I was feeling (before talking to Sade) but I did not say that I was going to reschedule, I was just trying to be courteous and let them know that I was very sick and possibly contagious. I drove there and was in the parking lot. I did not “no show”. I was there, outside. Yes it was last minute because I showed up for my appointment! I was there! I just didn’t think it was right to go inside without making them aware of how I was feeling. I guess I should have just gone in and not said anything at all because I just called to get an appointment scheduled because tomorrow is my birthday and my mama, whom I have not seen in 2 years, is coming down from Indiana for my birthday, but now I can no longer afford it because the owner told me I would have to pay an additional $30 each time I schedule because I did not give them any notice and stated that it’s not the first time I’ve done this. It is true that I have had to reschedule with Sade in the past. I work in veterinary medicine and just bc I am scheduled to get off at a certain time does not always mean that I will. And I had made her aware of this. It is never my intention to not make an appointment. I understand that that takes up a spot that could have gone to someone else and costs them money. The last time I needed to reschedule, I called the day before my appointment and left 3 messages throughout the day just trying to get someone to answer the phone bc i knew they were open. It is not my fault that no one answered the phone, nor did they return my call. So when I called just now to get something rescheduled, I was told by the owner that I am not allowed to schedule without paying a $30 no show/cancellation fee for ALL future appointments. All future appointments! And just to clarify, I asked if this $30 would be like a deposit that would go toward the price of my lash fill as long as I showed up, or kept if I no showed (which is perfectly acceptable) or if this $30 would be in addition to the cost of my fill and I was told it would be an additional cost. I just think that is a pretty terrible thing to do to someone who was there on time for their appointment and was just trying to look out for others’ well being by giving them a heads up that I was sick. When I spoke to Sade and she told me that I would need to call her back to reschedule I started crying because I felt so bad about the situation. She was telling me that I wasn’t there and needed to reschedule bc she had a client right after me. And I said, no, I’m here, I’m outside, I’m just sick and wanted to make sure you knew, to which she replied by asking that I please call back when I was feeling better to reschedule. My favorite go to place !! The owner is the best of the best! Tatiana puts her heart and soul into her work….Her expertise is amazing and know no one will be leaving unhappy . Being a salon stylist . it makes me feel good to know there are professionals out there that truly care for there work and will go to great yards to see you are happy ..
